Upcoming Book Signing

Sherri Duncan & Deby Roberts will be hosting a discussion and book signing of Jewels Of Passion on Sunday, December 6th at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum. The event is aptly titled Puttin' On The Glitz and will be held from 1-3 pm. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Champagne and Mimosas will be served, be sure to come by and get glitzed!

When I purchased this book at my local Barnes And Noble, it was still shrink wrapped so I never saw any of the photos in the book. The pieces that Sherri Duncan and Deby Roberts picked for the front and back cover were enough to convince me that this book was filled with amazing pieces of costume jewelry. And I was not disappointed. There was page after page of incredible examples of costume jewelry along with snapshots of the everyday life of Dr. Sherri. I will continue to pull this book off my shelf for information and inspiration.

Jewels Of Passion was featured at the DeBordieu Book Club at DeBordieu Colony in Georgetown, South Carolina on Thursday, June 11th. Sherri Duncan and Deby Roberts

Brookgreen Gala 2009

A copy of 'Jewels Of Passion: Costume Jewelry Masterpieces' was auctioned off along with a piece from the book, at this year's annual Brookgreen Gala at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Running for it's 17th consecutive year in a row, the Spring Gala was held at Brookgreen Gardens on May 2nd.

Brookgreen Gardens is a national historic landmark, established in 1931 by Archer and Anna Huntington. The grounds comprise of an array of display gardens with the most extensive collection of figurative sculpture (many hand crafted by Anna Huntington herself) in an outdoor setting by American artists in the world.
